Ive been getting a slight rpm drop at idle. It happened a few time this week. After pulling up to a light and sitting for it to change the rmps dip down 200 rpm or so. And today after I started the car it dropped. Not sure what to check on the car. The car has 75k, maybe put in new plugs? Has new air filters, and oil change right now.

No a/c or heat going when this happens either.

When you replaced the air filters, is it possible you left a gap in the case?

If you had a vacuum leak your rpms may drop, you could also try and see if you MAF is dirty... That might do it.

I'm not sure what to say about the Heat AC - did you mean it happens without the AC or Heat on at the time of rpm fluctuation? I don't think it has anything to do with that.

clean your MAF.

If that doesnt fix it then clean your TB.

those are the 2 culprits for this.

Wow I would hate to work with you..

My Infiniti advisor looked at the car a couple times even drove it himself unable to duplicate this issue. Doesn't seem to effect WOT so who cares.

I am positive it is related to throttle body malfunction on mine cause it only does it under light throttle.

I have new throttle body's replaced under warranty no way I am going to touch the MAF(s)

Some cars drop rpm when you tun on the ac or heat from more load on the motor because of the belts. That is why I mentioned that.

No gap they fit snug.

I haven't got around to checking for any vacuum leaks yet.

I'm more concerned that its leading into another issue. it doesn't bother me too much. Thanks for the ideas. What would you use to clean the maf?

I used the factory Iridium plugs and bought them from the dealership
