im having some issues with my sohc i recently did plug wires cap rotor hoses t stat and replaced all 4 injectors. injectors were due to popping unburned fuel out of my exhaust. im thinking i might want to replace my o2 sensorcause i was running rich for so long and clean my iac. anyone know how to clean the iac and if i need a new gasket afterwords? am i looking in the right direction or am i wrong help is appreciated.

I've read that you can take off the hose beside the throttle position sensor and spray some carb cleaner down it. If you suspect the IACV then it may need replaced but if you have a can of carb cleaner laying around that may do the trick and save you from having to replace it. Also, check the vacuum hose going to your fuel pressure regulator, if that's fine then check the FPR with a gauge and make sure it's pulling the right amount of vacuum. I think like 34psi for idle and 44psi for WOT. Next, try unplugging the MAFS. If your idle stables then the MAFS might be suspect. Either try cleaning it or check the wiring and make sure it's still got a good connection. I'm not positive but I don't think the O2 sensor has any effect until after you reach operating temp. Let me know how it goes.
