Since I completed the swap, I've noticed that my trans would occasionaly fight me going into reverse, and grind a little bit once in a while. 3rd always seems like it was a bit of a pain to get into, it wanted to fight and with the clutch all the way in, sometimes it would still not allow me to get into gear.

Well last night it actually started to have a slight grind everytime I went from 2-3 at anything higher than 3000 rpm. The syncros all looked to be in good shape when I put the transmission in, but is it possible that they looked fine but were actually bad?

I've talked to a couple of people, and I've been given 3 possibilities to check. One is that the syn. gear oil I used might be too thin, and not cusioning the gears enough. The second is that I still have air in my clutch line since it does it going into reverse sometimes. And the last on is that the sycros are bad.

Anyone have any suggestions/ideas/comments?

change your transmission fluid, run cheap stuff in it for 200 miles or so, then put some good redline in it. Thats what i did...i had a little peice of gear stuck in my 5th gear syncro so it would have a slight grind after 2500-3 grand rpm

I forgot to mention I'm using a new slave cylinder.

I guess I'll rebleed the system this weekend, and replace the gear oil and see what happens.
