slight gas fume smell in my 240sx???

ok so when im driving along i offten notice a slight gas smell in my car , i have a blacktop sr20det gt2871r the car is tuned and all, so i know thats not the issue, but it is running on a stock exhaust, i had a e cut out exhaust conection , but it stopped working (the e cut out is closed), could the smell be coming from , too much exhaust restriction, would getting a full 3inch fix this problem, (which i planned on doing anyway)

raw gas smell? every one ive owned had some sort of rubber line leak coming from the tank, i would check there.

^^^ that would be my guess. Those gaskets (o-ring) always stretch when the get gas on them.

Assuming that you changed your fuel pump when you upgraded turbos, if you didnt change that gasket (o ring ) your going to have that fuel smell I have that same issue now and need to hit up advance to get a replacement. So basically WC is correct

had this problem with my old car. everyone said it was my charcol canister so i witched it out and the smell went away, but came back within a month or so. Hope that helps any.

Doesnt really help seeing that you say the smell came right back...
