ok here we go. i wanted to have a project car that I can work on. so i didnt want to use my 240 cause i cant have the down time it would make when working on it. i had planed on puting an SR in it and fixing it up.

so now i decided to get a CIVIC    and make that my project car.

so now im rethinking it. should i buy the civic, and use IT and the daily driver, and fix up the 240 for drag?.

or use the 240 for drifting and the civic for drag???

the only problem with making the 240 for a drag car is that i have a custom enclosure in my spare tire well...if i used the car for a daily driver i could still build it up and drift

so i just wanted to see what your guys opinions are...

tahnks in advance...

ditch the Civic, buy another 240, and use that as your drag car ;) :D

yeah seriously...for the money too...turboing a B series is a biotch if u wanna run high boost (racing it)

so just get another 240...swap 2 sr's

or maybe a CA for drift and a SR for drag

CA revs a lil harder and is a lil smaller disp. wise

yeah i was thinking of getting a second 240... but its just to much money, i cant find 240 for less than like 3k... and then the 5k to do the sr swap is too much.

my friend has a civic for 1k and he can get a LS engine for 300.

and i know there is WAY more potential in the 240... but i want something easy to work on and something different...

There was a '91 240sx for sale on recycler.com in LA for $1100... check around, I'm sure you can find something if you really want. Just get one with a junked engine and do a swap.

You could buy like a AWD/turbo first gen Talon/eclipse/laser i know there no 240 but my old Talon ran a 12.8 at 111 mph for 2000 dollars and only paying 2300 for the car i was impressed......

but def. use the 240 as the drag/tang car...lol

I got my 93 240 for 2,400 so you can get them pretty cheap and most decent milage civics run for more than that and the 240 has way more potential for a drag car anyway considering its FR instead of FF which for drag can be a major pain

Get a toyota corolla if you want a reliable daily driver, and that way you won't have to worry about the civic. At least that is what I want to do. I was thinking of getting a Civic also, but I couldn't bare with myself buying a honda, so toyota here I come....hehe!

no! cuz then you're gonna start wanting to mod the corolla...

that's saying it's a AE86...

if it's not...then why do u want a corolla??

at least get something you WANT!

If you wanna go old school...Grand National's rock ;) not in the same price bracket though. I'd have to say go with the AE86...drift it and drag the 240. OR if you want a drag car get an old 5.0 mustang and drag it and drift the 240 :)

:wavey , and also, good luck finding an AE86 in atleast drivable condition, you're better off getting an older sentra (92 se-r!!) or something with the old sr block in her, those are a lil funner than a civic i must say, and then use ur money to dump into the 24o!

well the only reason i suggested for him to go for an older se-r was because they would b considerably cheaper than almost anyhitng else, yet still maintanin potential

I have a civic hb and I was origonally gunna get another one to do a b16 swap. But then one of my friends turned me on to Nissan. I picked up a 90 240sx fastback with a descent body and interior and a blown engine for 500 bucks. Now I'm fixin that up and using my civic for daily driving. Works great for me.

what kind of civic is it? Hatch or coupe? what year? If you have good enough reasons to not touch your 240, I'd say working on the honda might be a little cheaper and easier. LS engine would be nice. my brother had it in his hatchback. it pulled real nice before he put a TypeR b18c in it.:D LS V-tech is nice too if you wanna do the work. But I ditched my integra for my 240 and I drive an '85 accord when it's being worked on. so it depends on where you wanna put your priorities.

if you want a fast drag civic, get a crx. Those are probably the lightest. If you just want a daily driver that you dont want to mod, get something thats reliable and that wont tempt you to hook up like a 4 door 96 corolla or something.
