I know i know you guys are tired of seeing my name on all these damn threads, but I got alot of questions. I'm goin to go up to Union Grove dragstrip in Wisconsin on Aug 9th for a Nissan night,and wanted to know if it would b safe to throw some slicks on there once I get to the strip I don't want the axles flying off the car when I launch.What you guys think?

And is anyone else going up there on the 9th?be nice to see more people with some nissans up there. Oh ya what is a normal time or a mostly stock Z to be running N/A?

what kinda car you driving I look for you there.You think it would be ok to throw some slick on it without any problems?or will they not let me use them there?

any drag strip will allow drag slicks so long as it's just a test and tune, when you get into cometietive racing class dictates tire and wheel choice

Slicks are fine. But I don't think it will get you anything. You're not going to be setting any speed records with an NA.

az is right.... your probably not even putting enough power down for them to be effective.

Ya you guys are all right about it not being fast enough,and i was wondering if the car will even turn them damn things HaHa.I don't think it will hurt tho..I do have alot of tire spin now with normal tires mabey they will just grip and go.Shi* they were Freebees any way.I just don't want the rear axles to fall off.

Is it worth building? Well... The fastest NA Z31s (even those on nitrous) are still smoked by any turbo with a boost controller. If that answers your question.

Can you stroke that motor or is there a kit to do it or somthing to atleast make it dip into low 13's.

I think I just going to go up to Route 66. Since if my car breaks down then i'm screwed at Union Grove over here I can push it home.hehe

i'm in chicago.i think i'm going to just go up to route 66 since its so close,and i don't want to break down on the way there or back.Come to route 66!!i need some more z's when i go...i really want to go to the grove tho..
