Slick 50: is it harmfull?

So i've got an s13 sr20det and i live in a very cold climate. i know the sr oil pumps are a little shotty in cold weather and im just a little concerned about lubrication. i was thinking about getting some of that slick 50 stuff and am just wondering if slick 50 could possibly do anything harmful to an engine. i dont really know much about it. i'm just a little bit leary of just throwing it in there and wanted to know your opinions. Flame away!

The only oil pump I've seen kick the bucket had been machined on for some dumb reason. It killed the tight tolerance it needed to produce pressure and while the pressure wasn't lowered enough to set off the dummy light, it still killed the motor.

Are you sure you aren't getting oil pump and water pump mixed up? I've only ever seen people b1tch about the water pump.

Slick 50 and all of those snake oils are trash.

OEM Oil pumps are rockin. No need to change at any streetable power level.

a guy i used to work with tested slick 50 out once. he had a junker jeep he drained the oil out of it and ran only a bottle of slick 50 and it ran like that for 2 days.he drove the piss out of it and then it finally died
