when using the pivot headlight controler, can you use the stock headlights or do you have to purchase new ones to accomodate for the headlight not going all the way up?

you can use the stock lights, because the headlights still go all the way up when on. They just go "sleepy" when turned off. Oh, and make sure the fuse is on the hot wire. mine came on the ground (red), and I got lazy and never swapped it over to hot after I found out it was wrong. now my headlight box appears to be fried
