i did the relay sleepy eye mod it worked great for like 10 times then i heard some kind of click it was not loud or did not sound like a short but then my lights got stuck in the upright position and i have no idea how to fix it i checked the fuses and they all look good any idea? i need to fix it asap!

very interesting. did u do the mod where u cut the wire behind the popup botton or did u actually create a separate switch using the fuses?

i jumped the 1346 prongs on the headlight relay and used the 5 and 2 prongs to rig up a toggle switch and it worked for a short while and i did not cut the brown wire.

Twas one of the first things I did to my 240. I've heard my lights make some noises before, but it's the motor skipping a beat when I raise or lower them. Can you manually lower them? What if you put the relay back the way it was, do they return to normal?

i have not tryed to manualy lower them how do you do that? and i have just used the wirers to jump across the relay but i will put it back and see what happns? thanks

look beside each headlight theres a cap that has an up and down arrow I believe. then pop the caps and turn the knob.

^^^Something like that, every car is a tad different, but along those lines. It's sometimes on the motor (looks a little like a window motor if you know what that looks like )
