I think i have a sleeping disorder. I get 10-15 hrs of sleep sometimes and it isn't enough. Is there a fix for this kind of thing? I don't have benefits yet so i thought i would ask.

sometimes there is such a thing as too much sleep...try just sleeping for around 7 hours and see how you feel...get up for a change, i know you'll feel like **** at first but you'll adjust to it and i think you'll be slightly surprised by the middle of the day

Circadian rhythm is off, body clock is confused.

Talk to a sleep specialist. They will likely prescribe you with a morning medication that works similar to speed. You'll not only be more awake, you'll sleep better and lose weight.

If you regularly wake up after what should have been a full night's rest (8 hours, etc.) and still feel tired you should see your doctor. They might have you do a sleep study. My fiance has sleep apnea which left her feeling very tired when she woke up in the morning. Chances are that you don't have apnea, but it's worth getting checked out.

Edit: When you say you don't have benefits, do you mean you don't have any health insurance? If so, I guess the sleep study is out of the question for now. They're a bit expensive.

If I had enough free time to sleep 10 hrs a night, I sure as hell wouldn't be here complaining about it.

God.. I hate sleeping for more than 9 hours.

I wish I was like those few who can sleep for 5 hours a day, and be perfect the rest of the day. When I wake up at 10 am on the weekend, I feel like I practically wasted half the day already.. dammit. I'm going to start setting my alarm at 8 on the weekends so I can make a habit out of this...

Like a lazy fart?

Try getting to bed earlier(like before midnight)... that may shift your sleeping hours a bit.

It's seems by your work schedule, that is the cause of your sleep trouble. It's unnatural to the body to go to sleep when there is daylight out, so you may end up over-sleeping. When you come home from work in the morning you should get your bedroom as dark as possible, dark curtains/blinds--whatever. Set your alarm so that you sleep 8hrs and see how you feel then.Supposedly adults over 18 should get 7-8 hrs of rest. Having to sleep during the day and be awake during the night --despite what anyway says--messes up your body's rhythm, and you will become more susceptible to illness.

i'd definitely try to get some answers off a online medical journal if you can.

I sleep around 5 hours a night. I'm usually tired again about 10pm and go to sleep a few hour safter. I get up at 5 every morning to work.

obviously evil one you don't understand and you make some ignorant comment trying to understand. But you......? understand? thats like hitler loving jews.

Anyway the whole reason i made this post was to see if i wasn't the only one and to see if the people that have had these problems went to a doc or what. now i got my answer.... wait for benefits

Regardless of how much I sleep, whether it be 2hrs or 12 hrs, I'm always tired until like 9-10PM. Then I can't go to sleep until around 2-3 in the morning, even if I feel tired and need to get up in the morning. It sucks, but life goes on.
