I used a car stereo ABS plastic sheet for the plate (same as used in custom radio installations), made some simple tabs from the same plastic, drilled the gauge holes with a hole saw and epoxied it directly to the center bezel from behind using the tabs. Very simple, very effective.
Oh and Nissan S-14 believe me, you WANT to see every gauge you install especially when they are monitoring the life blood of your investment. In my case, the oil pressure dropped in a matter of seconds due to a bad OEM oil pressure sender (spewing oil out as I drove). Had it not been for my oil pressure gauge (and my constant observations of the gauges), I could have fried my engine and turbo. It's very important to monitor your engine when modifying such as a turbo install.
