I am starting a new thread here at the advice from other members so I dont derail other threads :poke: I am calling it "Bigger Build" because it isn't the biggest but above average or normal spending for average spenders.
I have found on the forums I've been on, NICO members and Moderators are knowlegable and not afraid to share advice and has been a great help in my knowledge gathering on the Z32. I have 3 running Z32's and one junker for parts, so I'm really into these Rides.

Below is a list of what I currently have going and will be getting it tuned in May by the SZ Boys when they come to Edmonton

1992 300zx TT with A/T Mod's:
Z1 Stage II or III block, not sure?
500 cams (HL-15 ??)
Adjustable exhaust gears
Z1 upgraded throttle bodies
AshSpec Massive SMIC (2 1/2")
GT800R (2871) Turbos
5 Bolts down pipes w/ 3" exhaust (Labree)
AMS Max Flow manifolds
300 degree, 850 cc injectors
Dual intake w/ Selin translater
SZ Map Switcher w/ 16 available tunes
Absolutely no pollution control

Behind the Engine:

Uprgraded SZ flex plate and 3800 rpm Stall Converter
Z1 upgraded A/T
Z1 Platinum drive shaft
SZ upgraded TT diff w/4:10 Leader Gears (still has OEM in it)
And lots of other add ons but dont pertain to performance

UPDATE:

I took the ride to Edmonton on May 4-5th weekend and had Greg & Seb dyno tune it up for me. When it first went on the dyno, it was only kicking out 335 rwhp (316 ft/lbs) and I thought it was nuts for power with that.....after initial tune was done, I had 435 rwhp (392 ft/lbs) at 12 1/2 psi boost on 91 pump fuel. Then we flipped her over to MS 109 race fuel and eventually got her kicking out 605 rwhp (513 ft/lbs) at 25 psi boost :woot: , that was the max for the new OEM fuel pump.

After seeing these Magicians perform their magic on my ride, I cant imagine how many ppl are not getting anywhere near their cars full potential. I gained 100 rwhp just from proper tuning............then an extra 170 rwhp just from higher octane fuel and tuning :wtf2: LOL!!!

It was never a doubt, after spending 22k + to try and get it tuned by Z tuners and they are top knotch at what they do. I also purchased a map switcher so I can switch between fuel tunes without having to pull the ECU to switch out chips. It has left me wondering what the rwhp is if I had an extra fuel pump to help out? There was no sign of knock or pre-detination at the 605 test.

Thanks Mark, I apoligise again for de-railing your post but enjoyed the chats. Five more days and its show time with G & S. I decided to put in a transmission pressure gauge (25-400 psi) also, after what almost happened the other day. Still haven't got this speedo thing figured out, it is getting annoying, hopefully the new parts will fix .....something.

Jim.

There are countless threads on tt.net about how crappy those AMS manifolds are. The ports don't match properly and they seem to crack after relatively little use. Buyer beware, I suggest the original MSPs which they attempted to copy (poorly).

On a separate note, I was looking at flex plates before when I was considering staying automatic (now going to perform a swap to manual). From my reading, it seemed that the stall converter RPM is actually something carefully calculated based on the build and power output, as opposed to an arbitrary number. Just wanted to make sure that the 3800 RPM setting matches your build as opposed to simply being made up.

Otherwise, seems like a nicely powerful build. Are you going to upgrade your brakes and suspension to match this greatly increased power output?

Hey Fearspect, I know what your saying about manifolds (AMS), I had the local mechanic set all this up for me and he sent it to Georgia, I have learned some lessons, let me tell you! If I upgrade later....depending on $$$'s I will be getting the MSP manifolds with EXP 90 or 100's. I should find out this weekend when Greg and Seb get up there. Are you getting "tuned" too?

As far as the flex plate and stall converter, I got them from SZ and I told Seb what I had and he said this is what they put in all the higher horse automatics. The flex plate is an upgrade they HIGHLY suggest going with the stall. (I have an NA 5 spd and I think the A/T will be better for 1/4 mile once it is tuned in on higher octane than 91)

And as far as brakes, I will have to soon, I cant hold the car with all my mite on the pedal and at 3500 rpm starts to leave. The front rotors are warped, so Im just biding my time and taking it easy until I can afford them. Its road ban time in the oilfield and that ='s NO $$$$.....LOL.

Thanks for the feed back and if yur guna be at HorsePower Solutions on the weekend, look me up. I'm gettin her tuned at 11am on Saturday (-:
