my slave cylinder went and i bought a replacement... now I am having trouble bleeding it. I have followed all the factory procedures, but no go. Is it possible the master cylinder is shot too?

when i did my slave cylinder i just replaced it and had a friend keeping the resevoir full and a friend pumping the clutch. nasty old brake fluid and bubbles came out, then clean brake fluid only and it was done.

If you arent getting pure fluid coming out of the bleeder screw it can really only be a few things. Your master cylinder is shot. You have a leak or something in the line. Or you just failed to keep the cylinder at least half full during the bleeding. Thats about all it can be.

good luck with the clutch hydraulics--took me a while to fix mine cause i had to figure out how.

I have no clue what type of car your driving???

if its a 240 you probably just havent gotten all the air out of the system they are a pain in the *** to bleed.
