slave cylinder bleeder screw problem

i was just out in the garage bleeding my clutch system. and i was loosening and tightening the bleeder screw as youre supposed to, and everything was fine. then i saw the bleeder screw move when my dad was pushing the pedal down. now it wont tighten. it just spins around doing nothing when i try to tighten it. do you guys have any idea what could have happened and/or how to fix this? cause im clueless on this. thanks.

well i just figured it out. i took out the bleeder screw, and the threads from inside the slave were embedded in the threads of the bleeder. so i need to pick up a new slave cylinder tomorrow.
