I want to lower my versa a good bit. Im running the hubcap wheels, and just want the car to sit flush on top of the tires. Get rid of all the gap.

then maybe cut if I need it to go lower.

Sounds like you would want it lower than springs would get you. And it is incredibly stupid to cut springs.

Either get Eibach Sportline springs to go as low as possible on springs or get a coilover setup.

I believe coilovers will do the trick. However, they are expensive and I'm not sure why you'd wanna slam the Versa. There's a point when you're too low and it looks stupid and impractical instead of sporty. I laugh at slammed trucks that scrape their rear bumper everywhere they drive and slammed Civics that can't get over speedbumps. I'm sorry.. that's just how I feel about it.

And blindsnyper is right. Megan springs have the biggest drop. Eibach is taller in the rear than Tanabe and neither is more of a drop than Megan.

And biggie is also right in NEVER cutting springs. Horrible idea.

But anyways... from pics I've seen, Megan springs leave very little gap. They should do what you want. If you still want even less gap, go up one tire size.

...and make sure you can find rear alignment shims. I lowered my Cube (same suspension as Versa) and now I can't adjust rear toe and camber... Still researching.

Yes, with coilovers there are no known aftermarket alignment products when going too low for the stock adjustments.

There's no "stock" adjustability in the rear suspension.

No way to adjust camber or toe without shims.

Could adjustable arms be made?

Though doubtful right now there would be enough demand for them.

I'd just like to see some rear shims.

According to MOOG, the Versa / Cube would use the same shims as recent-model Buick SUVs, but I don't have any way to confirm... Same part number, apparently.

Don't cut your springs man!Get Megan Racing Lowering Springs. They are like $130 or something like that off of Ebay shipped and they are quite easy to install.

I got Megan Racing Springs and this is what my V looks like.

yeah, honestly I just want it to be slammed. But why spend 1k on coilovers for a daily? I wish these cars had as many aftermarket parts as their enemy, the fit. Id love to throw coilovers, but no point in a daily as its getting no track use.

Ive cut springs before and they ride ok, better than heated and compressed. Just have to know the limit. Im not messing with the stock components though, I might try to gaft something else onto the car, as my friend has some old 240 coilovers, but not sure about the rear setup.

i personally prefer something that is proven, thats why i went with tanabe.... they have been making the lowering springs for the TIIDA since late 2006.... but thats just my way of thinking....

I've seen more members on here have Tanabe springs than any other brands. Also, I've heard nothing but good reviews about Tanabe and no issues whatsoever. The drop with the springs is a tasteful drop without sacrificing alot of comfort and appearing like a lowrider. I'm installing mine on Monday.
