Thanks for the information on the R34s. I know that in CAL Motorex tried but no CARB but you said you know of one in No. Cal , I must had been misinformed since I know who worked on the R34 CAL project and they were unsuccessful. R34s are beautiful cars but they are pretty heavy and the AWD is not significantly diferrent that R32s; but their "creature" comforts can't be beat! I'll just "suffer" with my DOT/EPA/CARB legal R32[has all stickers and badge plates] was one of the Motorex jobs before they went south. Previously register in CA, so I'm all good with the R32; wish I could have gotten a R34 though.

Happy "Skylining" to those who have one!!

So atleast i have some knowhow when it comes to cars. So as long as you don't live in some gangsta wanabe cop town i'm sure u can get a skyline 2 ur house. Give me a bottle of Jim Beam and i can get a car moved anywhere i want (trust me, 2 blown piston rods, and she still started and drove home from main street with no tags, lights, or inshurance!). Useless quote of the day "When youv'e built things yourself without using mommy and daddy's money, you learn something others haven't and never will, so don't talk, if you haven't tried what you're talking about before". Thanx
- i like your quote too!

It was about 12 R34. Then with the last few released maybe 15-18 or so. There might be a few more. I have most of the chassis numbers.

They were not sold orginally in California as California has a rule about cars 2 years and newer, and 50,000 mile in use testing. Nothing Motorex could afford at the time.

Thanks,Sean.

I was on a team attempting to get the R34s EPA approved. I did not realize that some actually were Federalized. I still like the true "sparseness" of my 50 State Legal Motorex R32[Lightest one of the R32,33,34 types]; to each his own; any SKYLINE is a good thing!

I know some R34 are legalized in diff state. My friend had a 2001 for sale there in GA. I think nowadays people are getting away with kit car, it is registered as special construction with some plate from other state than CA. It works for non-CA residents. It is fairly easy to import one cheap over here.
