You must tread very carefully. There are so many grey market cars that really aren't truly legal but are one traffic stop away from too deep of an investigation and seizure. I suggest you spend a whille searching through this forum. You will see a lot of fly by night importers who make amazing claims but can't stand up to close scrutiny. here are two that have a great deal of useful information.zerothread/159216http://forums.nicoclub ... ad/281541I tread carefully around this subject. I am not in the states and can't appreciate just how gay things are over there but what I am confident of is R33 is all you can import and FULLY legalize. The few fully legal R32s on the road are grandfathered from the motorex days. The rest that claim to be legal are snuck in a lot through florida in peices, put back together and titled as kit cars. They are state registered but not federally recognized so you take a risk. I wouldn't touch an R32 unless it was a documented Motorex car with the bond release.

A black panel in the passenger side a pillar stating substitute Vin, A import sticker in drivers side door, and a bond release letter. 2 of which I've attached and no there not from my GTR. Now some of the later NHTSA bond released GTR's may not have the A pillar panel or door sticker but they must have the bond release letter with Coleman Sachs signature, last attachment [IMG][/IMG]
