Front clip arrived... cool (leather) steering wheel. Catch is trying to remove it!

Steering wheel has a center button that pushes in. Tried pushing and twisting (to see it if pops off). No luck.

I removed THREE screws from the back plastic trim. Can not pull it back any further.

Clip needs to be stored outside... so would be cool to grab the wheel off it before the Texas sun gets to it!

Thanks,

Tom

Usually steering wheels are removed by unscrewing the center screw behind whatever you're describing. Try prying it out, maybe that will work.

Zach -- that is the odd thing, most of the Nissan wheels have a "push in and rotate" locking function. Some of the 240SX's have a little screw head that holds in a locking clip. Remove the screw, clip comes out with the center "hub"... replace clip, replace screw, center hub will snap back in place.

Ya, feel like a dummy... but better to see if someone has an idea on how to remove this thing before I break the center out! :D

Still haven't figured out how to remove the "button"I know seem lame, but a shame to destroy a nice skyline steering wheel center cap. :(

Tom (good excuse to bump, and see if I can attach a photo)
