You guys are dumb :alcoholic . That HKS White shift knob only comes with the greatest of transmissions in the world. That sound isn't a dieng transmission, it's the sound of $10,000 well spent. Dog engagement trannies aren't for the faint at heart (synchroless)

I wasn't commenting on the transmission I was commenting on the car and how stupid fast it was. I'm confused why you quoted me? Also if you notice from the interior shot it looks like the driver is wearing a Gi (karate uniform).

then he needs to learn how to double-clutch so he doesn't kill his dogrings,;) I got no grinding when driving a 996 RGT w/ a dogbox:cool:

Sweet mother of god, you've driven an RGT?! Ruf rules! Hands down the ONLY Porsche "tuner" IMO.

hey guys I thought that transmission sounded like a really good one when I heard it.to me it sounds like a muscle car or a big truck. but why exactly do these performance transmissions make these crazy sounds?

It does haul A$$ but not as much as the Mine's Skyline BNR34!

the BNR34 is the fastest street moded car out there i think... and the guy driving is just off on the shifting... WAYYY off, that is why that sound comes when he shifts, also the gears are a little out of synch

DOG BOX transmission = NOT GRINDING

actually it is "grinding" it is metal on metal contact that is causing the noise. if i remember correctly the dog gears are pushed together untill they lock and the gear is engaged. over simplistic description but in a way they are grinding, if he were to put lots of force into it and shift fast like how the trans was meant to used there would be alot less "gringing" and very quick shifts.
