hopefully they don't stray too far from the r32/33/34 looks, the natural progression of beatiful car....but judging from the HUGE gap between the 350z and the 300zx don't think I'll get my wish *sniffle*

What im hoping for: 400-500 hp, AWD with ATTESSA pro, and a price tag equal to or under the corvette's. Looks are secondary but would be nice if similar to the R34 :)

This isn't the new Skyline...It's the new GTR (yes, no "Skyline" name attached for some reason)

The new skyline is already in production (Infiniti G35 in US, V35 Skyline in Japan)

...IDK i might get flammed but whatever. WHy would nissan make such a risk? It makes no sense. You may be thinking what are you talking about it's the skyline!, but think about it, seven years from now god knews whats coming out. i/e as of now the crown victorian has an upgrade version of it self called the cougar or panther that comes stock supercharged with something like 350hp, Mercedes just released an E-class with 468hp (i think or in that range) supercharged and thats just the sedan.

Nissan and infinity are a joint organization. If you think about,we allready have the skyline over here. The G35 sedan just released the AWD model. Of course the G35 coupe will shortly be blessed with that same treatment and I would bet to see that the G35 will gain some boost to go along with it's AWD in lets say summer or fall 2k4... WHat about nissan? Well we all know that the 300ZX came in several models, 2+2, n/a, convertabile, targa top, and twinturbo. The 350Z just adopted it's new summer time look in the convertiable. Both roadster and coupe are still n/a but lets face it, if they really want to make people remember the 300zx as the trubo terror it once was here in the states, the 350Z needs to gain some heavy boost too. Now lets calculate, the Z sits stock at 287hp n/a, lets throw on a trubo (this is what nissan would be think ..i hope) hmm...those FMIC are turning out to be a big hit now. More and more stock turbo cars are adopting this newly highly functional upgrade. Now back to the turbo should would make it single it or make it a twin?...(round about) single 287-320hp may be or twin 287- i don't even want to knew.

So if in fact nissan decieds to take such a risk, they are going to have to take into consideration that they will have to cut back on these wonderfull upgrades. NOt to mench Nissan went "under" in the mid 90's b/c of money problems. A lot of cars that might of made it over i/e S15's and type X's may be a few skylines didn't. IDK bringing out a seven year old car with minamal upgrades isn't a good idea. Thats just my $2.13.

To my knowledge the GTR means turbo AWD. Thats why in japan the new skylineis only known as the GT and not GTR (AWD n/a) i think. I may be worng

The Skyline is already here. It's called Infiniti G35.

And in Japan, the GT-R doesn't exist either. . whether the GT-R model of the Skyline will continue as a beefed up Skyline or not, remains to be seen.

Confusing a Skyline with a Skyline GT-R is kinda like confusing a base model Lancer with a Lancer Evo.

Atessa ETS is available on 4 door Skylines in Japan, and is available. . probably by the time you read this, here in the U.S. (saw a commercial today) HOWEVER. . it's not Atessa ETS Pro, that the GT-R of the past has had. . the difference is that the Pro system is a bit more aggressive, and transfers power to the front faster. . and I believe it ALSO transfers to left and right side, if needed. .

the G35 IS a Skyline. .is it that difficult to understand? It differs in pretty much NO way at all, except for being LHD, and USDOT compliant headlights, taillights, and a few minor details. . Same engine, same car.

GTR will probably NOT be a Skyline based car anymore. Possibly, but probably not.

i realize that mr kouki, im well aware that the awd system that will be on the new gtr can essentially bolt onto the g35, but the g35 isnt a skyline. same engine? is it a tt? ok so maybe that one was just being my sarcastic self, i understand they are similar, but the g35 isnt the new skyline, maybe the base but not the car

uhm. . . The current Skyline has no turbo option. . basically, the single turbo RB25DET was replaced by the VG35DE.

Therefore, the U.S. G35 and the Japanese Nissan Skyline are the same car. Same engine, same car.

You're confusing SKYLINE with SKYLINE GT-R. . that's like . .confusing a base model Mitsubishi Lancer with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

AWD is now an option on the 4 door Skyline / G35. It's the Atessa ETS AWD system found on most Japanese Nissan models. . it's not as fast as the Atessa ETS pro version that was on the previous Skyline GT-R models. . I'm sure the NEXT GT-R will have Atessa Pro. . the difference in the AWD system has a lot to do with the speed at which it transfers power, and the ability to transfer power from the left and right to back and front.

The G35 represents the VERY first left hand drive Skyline produced by Nissan. The G35 IS A SKYLINE. It's the same car, and is the same platform, both are RWD, and have the same exact engine.

Please reference this site: http://www.jbskyline.net/V35/Sedans/

The car pictured is a 4 door Nissan Skyline. Nissan Skyline is sold in two and four doors, as it always has been, and is available with optional engines, as it always has been, and is front engine with REAR WHEEL DRIVE, AWD is optional (Atessa ETS on normal Skylines, Atessa ETS pro on GT-R model). .

G35 is a Nissan Skyline. That is all.

Actually. . there's much speculation regarding the future of the next GT-R. . it may continue to be another skyline model, but it also may have its OWN platform. .entirely new, just for the car. . that'd be kinda cool, because they'd have an opportunity to build a real sports car out of it. .

but personally, I hope it continues on as a beefed up Skyline. . because it's been that way for decades now.

Yeah. . quite a wait. .but not like I can buy one anyway lolgives me some time to finish up school, and obtain some kinda job haha. .

MAYBE. . if not, soon afterwards. . nice thing is, it won't end up being 90,000 bucks like the R34 ended up being :D (in other words. . we might actually get to buy it for the normal price, which was half the price of our GT-R) haha
