uhm. . . The current Skyline has no turbo option. . basically, the single turbo RB25DET was replaced by the VG35DE.
Therefore, the U.S. G35 and the Japanese Nissan Skyline are the same car. Same engine, same car.
You're confusing SKYLINE with SKYLINE GT-R. . that's like . .confusing a base model Mitsubishi Lancer with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
AWD is now an option on the 4 door Skyline / G35. It's the Atessa ETS AWD system found on most Japanese Nissan models. . it's not as fast as the Atessa ETS pro version that was on the previous Skyline GT-R models. . I'm sure the NEXT GT-R will have Atessa Pro. . the difference in the AWD system has a lot to do with the speed at which it transfers power, and the ability to transfer power from the left and right to back and front.
The G35 represents the VERY first left hand drive Skyline produced by Nissan. The G35 IS A SKYLINE. It's the same car, and is the same platform, both are RWD, and have the same exact engine.

The car pictured is a 4 door Nissan Skyline. Nissan Skyline is sold in two and four doors, as it always has been, and is available with optional engines, as it always has been, and is front engine with REAR WHEEL DRIVE, AWD is optional (Atessa ETS on normal Skylines, Atessa ETS pro on GT-R model). .
G35 is a Nissan Skyline. That is all.
