Skyline GTR 1999 legal in Cali?

Hey guys I'm new here if I get a skyline from japan is there any way i can drive it in California? If i get it I'm going to drive it a lot I want to know is there any way the cops will say something is wrong with the smoke or something and can i get legal registration? and will i pass smog tests? I know this might be asked before i searched but couldn't find anything.

Hey bro, Easier to get a gtr than to register over here. Try out of state for "legal" reg.
