50+ mph??? I don't know much about RC cars, but I've seen Toyotas that don't go 50.

I would have thought scale, but that would only be 5mph.

nope, that sounds about right. the Hp to weight ratio is insane on those little cars. most of the engines now make about 1Hp, with some in the 1.5-1.8 area. the car only weighs about 7-8 lbs, if that much. with the right transmission, i've seen cars that can go around 80+ MPH. but there isnt really a place you could go to have it get up to that speed before it hits something.
