I was just browsing some of the pics on my harddrive and came across one of a odd looking CA18det that had skyline in the name. I don't know where I found it, but it has an over the head intake pipe that bends 90degrees to the front of the car. Says turbo just before the bend. Actually it looks a lot like the FWD in terms of configuration.

So I'm wondering what model of Skyline it came from if infact it was from a Skyline, and if it had any special goodies.

The RB20/25's and the FWD non-intercooled CA18DET's share that "over the head" intake mani. Post a pic and I'll tell you which motor it is and what car it's installed in. (all I need is an engine bay shot)

Somthing keeps telling me that the CA was used in a sedan somewhere. Anybody want to give a complete rundown of CA18det vehicals?

Let's not make fun of my geekiness here but the very base models of the R31 and R32 sedans, called the GXi, used a CA18i that produced a whopping 90-100hp.

Wow I bet those GXI's are cheap to buy. And if you stuffed a 350hp CA18det then....well you would have spent way too much money on a heavier car....but still.....it'd be cool.
