Would it be beneficial to me at all to use the brake booster out of my R32 RB20DET clip?? Figured it might give me a bit more stopping power; it looks like it would just bolt right on without any hassle. I'd be using the RB20 brake booster with my stock KA master cylinder, since my RB20 clip had ABS and my car doesn't.

Thoughts?

Unless you have a very, very weak foot, your KA booster should be fine. You'd be wasting your time... that's not really a brake upgrade.

THE R32 M/C IS THE SAME AS THE 300ZX SO JUST SWAP THE CENTER FITTING AND YOU CAN USE THAT M/C TOO.

Well, the master cylinder on the RB20 has only 2 brake lines coming out of it, and my KA m/c has 3.

YOU MUST HAVE AN OLD STYLE ONE. THE ONE ON MY CLIP IS THE 15/16 VERSION Z32 M/C.

i think the rb20 mc has anti-lock brake; that's why there's only 2 line connected....i could be wrong.

there are several sizes of master cylinders; Standard R32 GTS-T is 15/16, ABS 1" Z32 1", ABS 1 1/16", stick with your OE master cylinder unless you swap in brakes from a Z or something and then try to get the MC off the same car as the brakes.

There is a whole section in SportCompactCar's project silvia feature about switching matser cylinders with 300zx ones, in the latest issue. It might be worth a look if you really want something other than stock.

Wow, SCC is really doing some 240SX stuff these days... Maybe mine is now worth more and I should sell it and get a WRX!

While there is 2 lines coming out of it, there should be 3 fittings...one plugged up but the plug can be removed.

Yeah, I saw that, the master cylinder is the same but that one fitting is blocked off. It looked to me like it was welded shut or something, but then again I didn't get a real good look at it from the angle I was at :) Thanks for the info, I'll take another look.

And I think Wulf was going for sarcasm there, I may be wrong ;)

The only point of my post was to increase my # of posts, so I can get something other than Intake/Exhaust for my car. I too want to get I/H/E, Cams, and ECU.

Yep, see I'm at 80 now.
