Hi All,

I heard from 2 independent resources that Nissan will soon be bringing the Skyline seri(es) to the US in voluntarily downgraded specs and performance.

Anyone heard of this?

Regards,Danny

Yes it's called the Infiniti G35 :) And I believe we're getting the "GTR" version called the X-35,

There is no GT-R version, the GT-R is now considered a seperate car.

^^ You are correct sir, it's just the easiest way to say it, and isn't it no longer called the Skyline GTR, it's now called just the "GTR", I thought I heard that somewhere

HAHA!! j/k Just in case you haven't heard of them, it's MotoRex that is the only legal company that can legalize Skylines, no matter what others tell you, MotoRex is your only bet for licensing a Skyline,

yes we do now have the skyline. its the G35. even has the same front and rear facias. nissan even killled off the skylines trademark 4 round tailights.

they emascualted the skyline with the new version*sniffle sniffle:(* (now called the V35 instead of R35)

no more turbo, no more hicas, no more distinctive styling, no more RB series engine

is this seperate GTR model for real? ive herd rumors that a 450hp twin turbo car is supposed to show up in 05 as the infiniti R35 or maybe even as the skyline.

im just wondering what the hell nissan is smoking. no more sylvia, and a whimpy skyline.

if you look at the japanese site it almost looks as though they are marketing the skyline as a family car now.

that 276hp thing was bogus, the big power cars were all over that from the showroom floor, the government didn't ask the companies didn't tell. Typical two-faced japanese bull****.

ive got an 'semi old' mag of car and driver, and the new SKYLINE R-35 is approaching supercar status, and is expected to come into the u.s in o4 as an o5 model, and is expected to get a "HAUL *** 400HP V6", there are also talks of an even omre potent version of a v8 found in the q45 making its way into the skyline (im pretty sure the v8 has already been ruled a 'no go' )

Why do people automatically equate "SKYLINE" with "Skyline GT-R?" They did NOT downgrade the new Skyline at all.

Base skylines NEVER had HICAS before. .

The only companies that do it right now legally are Motorex and RBmotoring. Afterdark Tuning will soon be the third legal company to purchase one from (for street use).

it seems many of you are confused. the nissan r34 GTR has ceased production as of the end of 2002. no more. fin.

what we have here in the US as the infiniti g35 is the top of the line skyline now in japan.

thus, the skyline model has clearly fallen a peg or two.

(we're waiting on the r35, nissan...)

Its going to be terrible. WTF are they thinking in Japan. They have been PU$$IFIED. All the supercars are being castrated one by one. It is such a shame.

GT-R has always been introduced a lot after the lesser models so too early to tell.

my bad thats right but they claim that they can assist in the legalization process. they claim u can get it legalized for about 5 grand, which combined with the cost of the car is still less than motorex
