Looks like a great trip. I wish I was in AZ.

My grandpa used this plane in WWII too. He was the navigator for the plane in the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force). His plane got shot down twice, ambushed, and made two emergency landings in Asia.

The B-24 was the plane Louie Zamperini went down in during WWII. If you don't know about him read the book Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. An all around unbelievable story of survival and resilience. Thanks for the great pics!!

Becky and Greg said the same thing.

That came out great Becky! I had a lot of duds and maybe 4-5 good ones out of probably 30.

Richard was awesome (along with all the volunteers at Pima). He pretty much answered all the questions I didn't have to ask.

Also, yet again you manage not to post a single photo of yourself.
It's more of an inside joke, I always blame her for breaking everything.

Check the Carlisle threads, there is an awesome pic of her where it looks like she ate bugs =P

Off the top of my head, Bryan Heitkotter (several time national champion) and Bill Schenker (several time national trophy winner), both of whom are from California, travel nation wide doing events. I know Bill came here to DC for the Pro Solo. The National Championship is in Lincoln, Nebraska and the Pro Solo finale is in Topeka, Kansas. Most Californians are cocks, but there are some good ones in the mix too =)

@Greg/Becky: Sorry I couldn't make it out. I really am overdue for a trip back to what became my home when I came to America, just my work sucks for planning things that they dont have notification for nearly half a year in advance =(

We are trying to convince Christine to come out for SEMA this year. It's the first week of November and just the most amazing automotive celebration (for lack of a better term). You should put in a request now and come out with her. I think you would really enjoy it. Would 10 months should be sufficient notice? :chuckle:

When you lie your nose twitches. I can see it.

You might also want to close your blinds.

No, that's just me trying to make magic like Bewitched. FYI, it doesn't work and you wind up getting a savage nose cramp =/

Definitely this!

In all seriousness, it's a great time. You get to meet some awesome people. I met John Force, Ashley Force-Hood and Brandon Bernstien this year. We saw some awesome cars, got stupid tired while walking the 19477769 miles around the show and made fun of some artards(what's wrong with my dragons?).

There's no event like SEMA. Period. None.

Yessir. I went to the CES show a week or two ago and there was some awesome stuff there. I imagine lots of it was at the SEMA show, too. Just ignore the Mexicans handing out business cards as you leave the show. :rotfl :rotfl

Those Sedona pics look like my back yard. If I could remember the my FTP upload passwords and info I'd upload some pics. Bottom line: AZ is AWESOME!

Awesome Christine! Looks like you guys had a total blast! Tidbit of information... my late Grandfather was a B24 nose-gunner throughout WWII and was in the air and was able to see the first nuke dropped. His bomb group was on their way back from a bomb run and weren't returning long before seeing a huge flash behind them, communications went out for a few mins and when they landed they learned it was the nuke... his tale was crazy. Wish I could hear him tell it again now that i'm older.

That's amazing. Yeah sucks now that I'm older I want to hear these stories, my Grandfather passed when I was 6-7 yrs old; but my Grams is still around and told me some and gave me copies of letters he wrote to his parents when he was in Germany doing his missions. I found out when I got back that one of my cousins on the same side of the family used to fly an F-14 in the Mediterranean during peacetime. 4 pilots on my dad's side of the family, pretty badass.

Sorry I had to leave kinda early, you can blame Bex and Greg for living in BFE. :gapteeth:

Glad you liked the Bimmer too. I don't think I've seen anyone drive that car that well their first time. :)
