Just had a SKuNk2 Plenum spacer version 2 installed on our 03 350z we were kinda pissed off about not being able to use the strut bar thing anymore (because the shop didn't tell us about before putting it on) however There was a noticeable power gain, but now we have a vibration coming form the top of the engine because it touching the hood, has anyone else tried this product and and did you have anything like this happen too?

I believe the majority of people on here that have done the plenum spacer used a motordyne.

Agreed. I ended up getting the Motordyne. They make one where you can keep the strut bar and still gives some good power. I would try to send that Skunk2 back and get a refund if possible, tell them it's rubbing the hood and get a Motordyne. If they don't let you I was told there are aftermarket strut bars you can buy that will fit with the Skunk2.

do you guys think the 07-08 hood would make enough room for it? I know they changed it becuase of the dual intake systems they introduced and made it higher. its BARELY touching the hood and we found out the vibration was from the strut bar( we had it put back on anyways with washers and some grinding to the bottom of the bar ) we like the newer hood anyways and were thinking about getting one when we have the stillen spoiler put on.

You'll probably have hood fitment issues!

I also had the angled intake manifold spacer from motordyne and had no clearence issues. Might be cheaper to buy a new one instead of a hood.

Get the Motordyne 5/16" spacer. Even the MD 1/2" spacer has some issues w/strut bar/hood issues.

5/16" is about as much as you can get - put the washers under strut bar - and look stock w/better performance.

Agree that it would be cheaper to but the MD than mess with the hood. Besides...I don't like the 07/08 hood!

Good Luck
