I just picked it up after playing the demo for a few days and its amazing, tony hawk better watch his ***. The learning curve is huge though, i keep getting stuck in like a corner and it takes forever to get out.

The city is awesome, its like a real city, there are no quarterpipes everywhere, no out of place items to skate on, just a real city. I have only put in like an hour and a half though, so much to do still.

If you like skating games....errr tony hawk games, then you should give this a try, its so new and fresh. well, back to playing!

I saw this and was excited to, tony hawk's were awesome till up to THPS Underground, after that it went down hill fast....very fast. I like the idea for it eing just a city with no out of place nonsense, cant wait to pick up a ps3 and get this. btw, how big is the city and whats it like?

the city is HUGE, i keep getting lost in it. you know how on Tony Hawks American Wasteland they toted how "huge" the city was? This city is at least 4 times that size, and its like a real city, there are a few skate parks, and tons of real world kind of skate spots. Its split into 4 different areas (no load times or anything, its one seamless city) The suburbs, Old Town, Down Town and i cant remember the other one. Downtown is my fave spot though, its like a business area with skyscrapers and tons of stairs and rails.

I played the skate demo at a friends and i was so amazed that i paid another friend to borrow his xbox so when i buy skate tomorow i can play it haha. I just downloaded tony hawk proving grounds demo and i have to say i don't like it at all after playing skate. I hope its better when its actually released, I can't believe i wasted time on downloading it.

All i have to say is wow. I ended up going to four places and called game stop for skate. I called game sotp and they asked if i had reserved it and i said no and they said "oh we don't have any copies then". My hopes were down but i went to best buy as my last resort and they had it i was so happy. This game is amazing i love how you can't just ride up curbs, you have to ollie on to them, thats a small detail but its amazing. This game is probably the best game i've played since halo 2 hah.

By far the best skateboarding game I have ever played. Tony Hawk has a new game coming out in October and I have a feeling he is not going to see the same amount of money as with his previous games. Ive been playing skate for the past three days, its addicting....I think im going to go play right now.

Picked up the game yesterday, and all I can say is wow. Amazing game. Hardly any load screens, and the view from below/behind your skater is awsome.

yea I love my skate.

The camera view is by far the best, actually feels like someone is skating behind you with a camera. Not like a fixed "directly" behind you cam.

The city is huge, its even fun just to skate around till you find particular spots and just try to hit the nastiest trick off of it. I spend all day in 1 or 2 spots.

Controls feel so natural instead of a button mashing party.

The only draw back on it is that you can run and drop the board to skate. This would come in handy when your trying to get back on top of something and you have to make a loop to get a decent speed to ollie up over the curb.

But by far the best skating game since skate or die! lol
