You need some MAF cleaner:
You also may require
a security Torx (probably T20) bit to remove the MAF sensor. At least, I required one for my VQ35 in the '01.
Disconnect the negative on the battery, remove the wiring harness for the MAF sensor, unscrew it, and the MAF should just rise out of the throttle body intake tube. Spray it with cleaner liberally around the exposed wire, like so:

Wait for it to dry, reinstall it, reconnect battery cable. Done.
