i may be interested later, but not at this time. With the intake, BOV, and wideband, i'm pushing my budget for the winter..especially with the holiday bills and expenses that come with being engaged to a shopaholic lol

I did get the turbo clocked a month or so ago so it is ready to be bolted up to the manifold. I just need to put the fittings on the turbo. I do use Teflon on the the fittings or no? it looks like they came with washers but I just want to be sure.

I am going to do a Stainless Steel Drain Pipe as well. Cost me around $40 and will look alot better.

Other than that, nothing much happening right now. I'm waiting to pay off a credit card here on my next paycheck so I can the Innovate Wideband and some others parts with my coupon from FRSport and then its just collecting parts until I get the car back from storage so I can put the turbo and lines on then take it to a shop to have the downpipe fitted to work with the stock manifold and aftermarket O2 housing. I'll also be installing a flex into the downpipe as well as the bung for the Wideband.

I HATE THE WINTER!!

No teflon is required for the turbo lines, the fittings are designed a certain way that you do not need teflon tape.

My car has been in storage for 4 weeks now with parts just stacked on top of it...

I know the AN part of the lines dont need teflon, im just asking about the part of the fitting that goes INTO the turbo. Also, regarding the T28 turbo, what is the stock boost i'll see running just on the wastegate? I've heard 7psi and 10psi and hate mixed information..

Ca_Silvia, it sucks I know... I'll hopefully have a badass ride after this winter, but the wait is killing me!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Hope everyone got the parts they wanted. As for me, I recieved a Circuit Sports BMC Heat Shield and Magnetic Oil Drain plug so that was pretty cool :)

Here is what I ordered myself and will arive the 1st Monday of 2011 (The fiance is giving me $100 towards it as a gift :) )

HKS SSQV mounting flange
HKS SSQV recirculation fitting
FRS Silicone Hose Coupler
Innovate Motorsports Wideband LC-1 Gauge Kit
Innovate Motorsports Stainless Steel O2 bung
DME Cooling Panel
OEM Nissan T28 Locking Tabs

Total Cost - $320.15 shipped

I had a coupon for $40 of $350 so I thought I should use it as I planned on buying this stuff anyhow haha.

What DP are you using that you have to have it fitted? Or are you still using a stock DP?

I'm using an eBay knockoff downpipe with a CXRacing O2 housing. The aftermarket O2 housing's from an SR20 on the CA18 with the stock manifold causes the downpipe to be placed to close to the frame rail which requires modification of the downpipe.

A little update is in order I suppose. I am still waiting on the new Pre-made harness from Wiring Specialties that I sent them October 2010, so that will be pretty exciting. I just got HKS SSQV III in the other day and am just awaiting my Greddy Intake and Circuit Sport Mini Catch Can. The big news, I am bringing the car home from the "winter storage area" this weekend, so assembly can finally begin! I still need to order the turbo compressor inlet and outlet gaskets, the Circuit Sports Turbo Elbow, and the fittings to make my stainless steel drain for the turbo. The gauges are almost wired, but I screwed up a socket for one of my autometer gauge lights by ripping the wires out on accident, so I need a new one of those. Things are in motion, and all the parts are almost here, after that and assembly, I just need to get the BOV welded on and the downpipe fabricated and the flex put in the exhaust and I'm good to go boosting. Pictures will be up this weekend.

i wouldnt bother with the stainless drain. the circuit mini can comes with PLENTY of oil resistant hose. I had almost 3ft left over and its the right size for the drain. Its really stiff and tough, heating it with a lighter makes it slide on easier

I didn't feel like dealing with having to drill the stock drain tube holes out. I dont have a good dremel and buying one would've been more costly for me..Plus, I get a little bling factor having all SS Lines on the turbo right?

well there is everything! The final list of parts this winter includes:

-T28 BB Turbo
-Circuit Sport Turbo Elbow
-Circuit Sport Magnetic Oil Drain Plug
-Circuit Sport BMC Heat Shield
-Circuit Sport Mini Catch Can
-DIF SS Turbo Lines
-Quick Tap Boost Fitting
-HKS SSQV III BOV w/ flange and recirculation fitting
-NRG Cooling Panel
-Innovate Motorsports LC-1 Wideband Kit
-Trust Airinx S13 to S14 SR Intake Kit
-Summit Racing -10AN straight fitting
-Russell Performance T28 -10AN oil drain fitting
-Nissan OEM Turbo Locking Tabs
-Nissan OEM Turbo compressor inlet/outlet gaskets
-eBay turbo to manifold and turbo to downpipe gaskets (crush type)

and ~$1200 later, I think that is everything..

I did get my car back home this past Saturday (horray! :D) and yesterday, I spent 4 hours testing and configuring ways to make my Corbeau seat sit lower with the Nagisa Rails, which I was successful at doing :) I'm officially as low as you can go without bolting to the floor haha

I'm still working on the door panels..My friend and I are going to tackle the passenger side this Wednesday..the Vinyl is kind of hard to stretch and work with but i think it'll come out good this time around. Once those are complete, its just assembling everything and getting some exhaust work done along with the BOV flange welded on and I'm ready for action! Sorry for the lack of pics. I'll get into them heavy when the snow clears out..we just got another 6" or so last night..

It should be there today! lol

Sorry I still haven't posted any pics. There is snow on the ground and I have this phobia about being wet and cold when working on my car.. once it gets a little warmer, its going in the garage and s*** will be done!

Make sure you use the correct oil restrictor becuase the one FR sport supplies with their SS line is too large for what Garret reccomends on their turbos.

yea i got the restrictor. I saw your post on here while I was in class and I couldn't remember if I had a BB turbo or not haha. I did all the research again and I'm positive I have one. i did buy the .032 restrictor when i bought the lines so I'm good there. Going to finish wrapping my other door panel right now, and spring break is next week so if I dont have to work, im pulling some long hours in the garage and getting everything put back together (i hope).

How should I tighten the fittings onto the turbo lines? I know the adapter I can use a socket, but what about the actual line itself? I dont have AN wrenches...

also, how tight is too tight for the compressor housing bolts on the turbo? Thanks guys!

i used metric wrenches on mine. 18mm i think for the coolant lines, 12 or 13 for the oil feed.

for the turbo, snug. no gorilla torque but they should be snug.

I better get sent a vidja when this thing is running and going. I saw ur vids on youtube. runs good man

Thanks Kyle.

It's ran great ever since I've had it. It did go through a stage or two of blowing smoke out the tailpipe, but Im guessing thats from my turbo that blew last September.

I've had my EVC-S for awhile, but just never used it. I left a plug in the solenoid when I tried to use it and couldn't figure out the problem lol Now I'm probably going to drive with it off to see my average AFR's and then turn the boost up accordingly.

here is my passenger door panel i recovered. I used Vinyl, which has a similar pattern as the original door pattern so it kind of matches. It could be better if I put more time into it, but there are other, more important things on my list to get done. For now, they will have to do..

I'm thinking if i try to redo them, I'm going to see if I can get the rest of the original door "tweed" off (i just covered it on this panel) and then just leave them alone. I got it all off of the driver side and it looks nice, but the passenger side was a different story and I just said screw it haha.

With the t28 you prob run outta gas at or slightly above 12psi with that turbo. Next best step, since its tax season, would be injectors/tune/maf. JWT did mine. Im Z32 maf and deatschwerks 750cc injectors.

I already got my taxes back and used it haha. Time to save, get things put things back together, drive it all summer, store it again, and wait for next years tax season to maybe get NIStune, Z32 MAF, and Deatschwerks 750cc's. I'm also buying a house sometime next year so we'll see how the budget allows haha.

well the maf shouldnt cost you more than 100 and i only paid 300 for my d-werks 750's. then its just tune from there, idk nistune price for the CA but I know jwt is only 500. with your setup you wont find but maybe 5 or 10 more whp going from chipped ecu to nistune. i think it would only make a substantial difference if you were building more along the lines of a 5 or 600hp engine. then a rom tune wouldnt be ideal. all in all youre looking at about a grand for those next 3 mods and you have a year to do it. do what i did lmao, quit smoking and put that $5 a day to the car haha. saves me $150 a month. thats maf in one month, injectors in 2 months and tune in 3 1/2... I LOVE THIS BUDGET lol.
cant wait to see it all together man, buy a house here in AL. we drink, cookout, race, drift and party every weekend. d*mn mondays hurt tho lol
