i dont smoke lol

I've never been a big fan into ROM tunes, I want to learn to tune and all that junk and NIStune is only $400, so its not that bad. I also dont know where my power goals will stop. I am shooting for 300whp for now, but later on that might change and NIStune will give me more options than having to get another ROM tune later on and basically "wasted" the money..

I'm moving away from the engine for now though after this year. I need coilovers and other suspension parts for the "drift" aspect I'm looking for. I've been doing everything under the hood and not under the body! haha

i did all of mine at once. i was so sore after that week. i think i got up and down from under the car 10,000 times. If you ever get a chance to work on a lift, it will spoil you very quickly. Im ok with a rom tune for this engine/car, my next build/car will prob get Nistune or something like that since my goal on my next build will be shooting for 6+'s. Im thinking SC6262 on my other CA with my 4 port head and a set of Tomei Procams, I still have the 4 Bosch 1600's a friend of mine gave me from his RX7 and I still have an aeromotive a1000 laying around my house somewhere. It'll also gimme something to do with my Nitrous Works 200 wet shot kit as well.
Im thinking K Sport air bags for the rear and maybe custom fit an S10 solid rear axle with a Moser diff set but thats way down the road. Ill have plenty of time to play with some steel and a welder.

a lift is definitely something I'm investing in after I buy a house. I told the future Mrs. - "It has to have a garage or enough space for me to build a garage so i can do all the things I need to with my car" lol

while tightening the fittings into the turbo for the lines, i noticed the washer provided with the .032" restrictor for the oil feed doesn't sit flush to the fitting/turbo when the fitting is fully tightening. I'm guessing its ok to move on without the washer inbetween correct?

well I ran into a little problem with the SS lines and the wastegate actuator arm (Thanks Kyle, Dee, and Gabriel!) Turns out the coolant line on the wastegate side will hit the stock S14 T28 arm unless you: 1) clock the center cartridge to move the coolant port downwards. 2) you buy an HKS actuator or 3) roate the arm 180 degrees and mount according.

I will have pics up soon, but I'm really cold right now so it'll have to wait haha.

So I haven't yet started assembling anything but the car is in the garage and the turbo is now ready to be mounted and installed. Then I will have to fabricate the new SS oil drain to finish the job before its off to shop to have the exhaust angled to be able to use the stock manifold (pictures for sure) and install the wideband bung and flex pipe. I may have them do the BOV flange as well while I'm there.

GOOD NEWS:

I got the turbo, intercooler w/ piping, and the Greddy Intake Kit on the other day. My friend and I busted as and pulled his RB25 out of his car and torn it down to just the block and got my turbo and everything put on in one day. Not that hard, but we usually work very slow haha. I am taking the car to a local shop that is going to do the exhaust work and weld the BOV flange on the cold pipe for me. Hopefully they wont charge me an arm and a leg..As promised for what seems like forever, here are a few pics.

@ Dalaz - lolz! Yea we basically have the same build so we can kind of copy each other a little bit haha But it doesn't run as of yet. I'm still waiting to get my harness back from Wiring Specialties. Will be soon hopefully.

@ Kyle - Videos will be up hopefully every other week once i get it running. But we have a snow storm on the way tonight which sucks really bad. another 5-8" of heavy snow/rain mix is NOT what i was looking forward to and will prolonge me getting my car on the road :( on the upside, it does give me more time to wire the wideband and clean the interior really good, although that stuff will take me like an hour tops..SIGH!

yea we just got like 4" of snow and rain last night. For those of you that dont know what that means, it means a sore back and a very tiring day of not getting anything done other than shoveling snow...I'm so ready to be done with Michigan...

I did get the car to the shop yesterday and I have to go there today within a few minutes here so I will hopefully have it back tonight or tomorrow. Lets hope they do a good job ay!

I feel so bad that I basically have NO pics of what I've been doing..I Just got the car back from the shop last night and the fiance dragged me to dinner so I couldn't snap some pics of the exhaust and BOV flange I had put on..set me back $285 though... It looks pretty nice, something I know I couldn't have done. Now I just need to put the wideband in, wire it, and await my wiring harness from Wiring Specialties..oh yea and there is STILL SNOW ON THE GROUND!

just a tip - DONT EVER MOVE TO MICHIGAN IT SUCKS!

well I i've got he blow off valve on and recirculated as well as the catch cans mounted up. Next step is to wire and mount the wideband as well as the new thermostat for the electric fan. Its non-adjustable and will be to 12v switched instead of 12v always like I did last year..stupid stupid stupid lol Heres a pic. Some guy walking down the road gave me a few good comments on it :dblthumb:

Yuri at Wiring Specialties said I will have my harness back to get my car running by the end of next week. Very exciting :) now i have to get the wideband wired and calibrated, as well as button up a few last things and change the oil and add coolant.

Well i've been driving this puppy around the past couple months and love it! Finally figured out the HKS EVC-S Boost controller and have it set at 10psi. My AFR's are good when in boost at this (12's) and I am getting around 22mpg :) Car has never ran so good since I've had it lol. For what its worth, I'm STILL running the clutch that came with the engine set 3 years ago when i bought it and it holds the 10psi great :)

Only problems I have now are an oil leak at the back of the head on the exhaust side and a slow leaking CXRacing Radiator.

DALAZ - What seat rails are you using for your Corbeau and how tall are you? I have a really nice trick to make this thing sit as low as possible to the floor as you can so if you're interested just LMK. I'm 5'10" and I can barely see the hood and have plenty of helmet room :)

Wow, I've been gone for a LONG time...

Trying to get back in on things in here and thought I'd let everyone know how the car is running.

TOP NOTCH

I've been running 10psi since the T28 upgrade, stock injectors, stock MAF, stock ECU. Good A/F ratio's. Really no problems at all. I've been daily driving it, some drifting, and a few high speed runs the past couple weeks which resulted in the manifold to glow red..

But, i'm still using the stock clutch and everything is good. My car is about neck and neck with my friends 350z with slight mods done to it. I'm getting the new Harness from Wiring specialties soon so I will post pics and over the winter, its getting rims, coilovers, and new suspension arms and tie rods as well as nistune, injectors, and a MAF. So i'm thinking next year I should have a lot of fun at 16psi or so.

Hello to EVERYONE new and old (Dee, Ryan how are you guys?)

hope everyone elses cars are treating them as well as mine.

I wondered where you went! I was feeling used, LOL.

Mine's alright. Slow progress. Gauges are all installed. Found out with my new oil pressure gauge my oil pump is bad. So I've got to tear the motor down and replace it. Ghey.

But atleast you didn't throw a rod or spin a bearing lol I need to get some new pics up here soon..finally going to the strip soon so I'm pretty excited. Just have to get back on here with my NICO buddies..there are some real tools here rolling with GTP's and Civics.....

What's up man? Glad to see you're having fun with your whip :). Also glad to have you back and put some motivation and hope into some of these guys. I'm trying to put this early Christmas present out for the CA hood (in FWD version), but I only can work on it like 45 minutes a day (athletic kids). Your engine bay looks clean, but I hope this is your fun car and not your daily because I see no P/S and A/C which means you belong to the elements with sweaty/salty balls (some of you chumps are probably excited about that one) in the summer and you will danm near freeze in the winter. But in all, I'm digging your car and can't wait to see some more progress as well ;) .

Yeah, I'd like to place an order. I think I'll just leave them in the bag and hang them from my rear view. It ought to give my CA like 50 extra hp (just because they're from Dee)

this is my summer daily driver. No power steering, no A/C lol It was around 30 degrees this morning and frost on the windsheild so she was a cold one thats for sure lol Its almost time to switch the plate and insurance to my 98 ford escort zx2 (pics WILL be posted for fun!) i love the car. I was a little disappointed at the strip but I ran consistant..but at a 15.21 in the 1/4 on s*** s*** street tires, unknown tire pressure, 10psi on the T28 turbo and shifting at 7500rpm. It just doesn't get off the line..I care but not so much because before the track the parking lot by my house got some nice big tire marks in the shape of a circle so i really know what this car is for :)

But once it goes off the road within the next month, it gets all new suspension, rims, tires, and hopefully Nistune and turning the boost up to 18psi.

oh and yes Dee, I really want more people that have the CA to actually do it right....I've trolled a few times the past year or two and noticed everyone blowing them up or having issues and this and that. It makes me sad :( I've done everything on a college student budget and getting busted for drunk driving and its something that catches everyones eye around town ;)

i got arrested 9/13/11. hit the bars after work, drank all night, tried taking a girl home..BAM..in the slammer lol All because the exhaust on the 240 was "too loud"..and i smoked a curb after he turned the lights on lol Set me back about $3k and 4 months probation, but it got reduced to a reckless so not to bad. and the cop was nice enough to not impound the car and let me leave it parked on the road :)
