Hi,

This is Armyspecialist4 again and I needed to get the size of the stock subwoofer that comes with a 2004 Nissan 350z. It is an automatic and comes with the stock BOSE sound system. I was looking into aftermarket subwoofers and did not know the size that the 2004 350z can hold in the compartment behind the drivers seat. Can someone please let me know the stock subwoofer size in inches, as well as if it can hold larger subwoofers?

Thanks in advance!

Bose system speaker are custom units with attached electronics. Don't believe you can just replace them with after market units.

crutchfield.com they will tell you what fits where and what is required to make the swap. Keep in mind the stock "Sub" is a free air unit. Generally if people upgrade they do the whole system. Usually stock speakers are of a higher impedance than the aftermarket, they also tend to require less wattage so an upgraded sup would likely require an line output converter, and amp and a sub.
