Size of EX35 a Problem?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I have recently had to use my mother's EX35 as my car has been in the repair shop (Subaru Forester) and I need a way to get around my university. The car itself is exceptional, handling is precise and the acceleration for everyday use is spot on. The interior is nice as well, the trim and dash with nav come together really well. The only complaint I have is the thing is so damn small, my head brushes the ceiling of the car. I'm a pretty tall dude, 6'1" - 6'2" and I absolutely could not drive this everyday as I feel I'm so cramped while driving, even having the seat at the lowest possible setting. My father who is a bit larger than me, about 6'4" simply cannot fit inside. So my question is, are most of you that do use this car everyday just small guys? Is the car ownership majority female? Just wondering, as I've noticed this is the only serious problem with the car, but nonetheless one that turns me off from enjoying the driving experience I feel is capable in this car.

I'm 6' and there is plenty of headroom.

Give me your mom's number. I want to tell her not to
let her whiny son borrow it again.

"Whiny"? I figured there might be some backlash posting about an obvious flaw in a car on said car's owner forum but I didn't expect ignorant and reasonless confrontation. This car is small for anyone around 6'+ and if you disagree, you're overcompensating on your physical stature. I was merely stating an honest question to a community that I've, since, come to find is very self absorbed and lacking of any real information. I know there's a facetious stigma with the majority of Infiniti owners and it definitely manifests itself on this board.

By the way "John", I'm sure you feel that your owning of a car with an above average MSRP makes you feel powerful and so much better than anyone else on the road daring to not divulge themselves on a piece of transportation machinery, but honestly you can take that "better than thou" attitude and go f*** yourself.

I wouldn't call lack of headroom a flaw since not everyone experiences that. Take any 2 6-footers and because of varying torso lengths, there will be a difference in headroom. My wife is 5'3 and I am 5'10. with no headroom issues, yet our heads are the same height when we are sitting. If you are willing to overcome your hasty conclusions about the people and lack of useful information on this forum after only 2 posts, then stick around, and learn something. Yes, there are some characters on here, but that makes the world more interesting doesn't it?

I don't get it, I am 6'3" and headroom is a non issue and overall the car is very comfortable for me. I assume you know how to lower the seats by pushing down on the seat adjuster? Read the manual starting at page 1-3.

6'3" at 290 lbs and no problem fitting. It is my wifes car, but we usually use it rather than my lexus sc430 because the EX has much more cargo space. I do not feel cramped. My sc is more luxurious but costs 30K more too. it is a quick great handling car with a great turning radius that has state of the art technolgy in the entry luxury level. and if we take out the adult kids we take the odyssey where there is no shortage of space. I've been in cars that don't fit me and the EX is not one of them.

If you get the Base model without the sunroof you gain another nearly 1.5 to 2 inches of head room.

Yep 5' 11", no problem. Besides small car != ideal car for a huge person....obviously.
