Size of 95 240 Door Speakers?

I've been told and have read that my '95 240's front door speakers are 1 of 2 sizes. The factory size I believe is 6 1/2, but have also heard that the size is actually 6 3/4. Which exactly is it. It's an SE if it makes any difference.

yes, the factory id 6 1/2.

I have Kenwood 6 1/2 in my door and the thing that you screw the speakers into doesn't fit right. I had to drill new holes and they don't fit perfect. I would think that 6 3/4 might be better. Not sure though.Josh

6 3/4 are the recommended size by most "installers".

I have Pioneer Premier 6.5's and they fit just fine. Check speaker depth when you buy your speakers.

The Size is 6 1/2 but there are some 6 3/4 that will fit the 6.5, check with crutchfield for finding the oversize 6.75 that will fit the door panels... the rear deck is also 6.5
