Dorifto? Not really. Your power band is smaller due to gearing meaning your gonna be shifting a lot. You don't want to shift a lot while drifting. Stick with the 5 speed. I have a 6 in my spec v and I have to shift to third just to get to 60.

my 1st gear goes to like 20, then my second to like 45-50, then my third might crank out to like 70, my 4th 100, my 5th???? still unknown, but i think i will stick to the 5 gears and get a new kaaz rear end, with a nice pwerformance clutch. my whole idea is with a supercharged KA with built internals, etc...(the engine work list is too big) but thanks everyone for all the info

You should be able to hit 60 in second. I can in my friends s14. I hit about 64 in s13 but I have the 7k redline. You need to look into that incase there is a problem.

you can get a little above 60 in second but your out of the powerband and 4th will get you to almost 120 5th probably 140-150 something if you had the power

reason why the 6 speed trannies aren't that great: weak. the 6 gears still fit in the same gearbox that the 5 speed uses, so the existing gears were thinned out a bit to save space. Also, the gearing itself isn't much better than the 5 speed, so you still top out at the same place.
