I wonder how many people out there can feel me on this one....

I ordered a set of 1200$ wheels and tires last friday... (17" Konig "Next" w/Yokohama avs es 100's) I have been anticipating merely just the purchace of the wheels for around 4-5 months. They are supposed to be here today, and I am about to pull my hair out waiting on UPS!

I thought they might be here a moment ago. Low and behold the meter reader is making rounds today also. How nice. LOL

Eh, not my taste when it comes to wheels, but that's just me. Did you buy any spacers for them? Those tires are nice though, my brother just got them for his car.

But I do feel you though. I bought an S15 HLSD back in October and it said 6-8 weeks for shipping. I got it on the Friday of the 8th week.

That is totally disrespectful dude. The guy orders some wheels he obviously likes and you come on here telling him they will look like crap and about they aren't good enough for you.

Thats a very good point. He obviously likes the wheels because why else would he order them. Remember, car tuning is personal taste, not what everyone else will like.

No need to be sarcastic there, cheif. Who cares how often I post? I don't think my post count reflects my knowledge on various subjects does it? And besides, with most of the whoring and off subject posting that goes on here, I'm sure 80% of your posts aren't f*** relelvant, even if that were the case.

I merely stated my opinion. I'm sorry that my comment was harsh, I should've worded it differently now that I've reread it. In fact, I'll do that now.

I think they are a +40mm offset like the stock wheels on my 98 240 they are 17"x 7.

they were 170$ apeice. I got them from http://www.discounttiredirect.com I've also orderd new brake pads from http://www.enjukuracing.com. They should be here Thursday.I will get everything installed Friday.

I would like to post a picture of it all by monday. So be on the lookout..

maybe, they wont look like A$$ ;)

Anyway, to get back on topic... It sucks waiting for parts, dont you all think?

it'll look sunken, thats for sure. but it won't be much different from your stock wheel.but they actually don't look that bad, wheelwise, if they had a cheap version of it in 17x9 with low offset, I might ahve to check them out myself.

see how sunken your stock wheels are right now? basically the same. Like 5mm farther out or so is my guess.

i ordered a ss from underground it should get here this week or next and i also ordered some stuff from ebay like a full face for drifing helmet and a new shift boot.

Waiting for things sux, but letting the parts sit in my room uninstalled sux even more.

But next week i'll be busy because that's when auto class starts.all new bushing, sway bars, short shifter, shift knob, shift boot, are all going in.

I think the anticipation of waiting is what kill me most.

17x7 +40 is quite possibly the WORST size for anything RWD. Not only will it make your car look higher, the wheels will be sunken well into the fender. Lowering the car may help, but the wheels will just look farther in. The problem with cheap wheels, is that they come in horrible sizes and offsets. ADR also makes decent looking wheel, but the sizes are s***. If you drive a FWD car, they'll look better. You should have done some more research on offset before you bought them.

I know that, we all know that, but tearing him down for making the decision isn't cool. I myself made the same mistake when I didn't know about offsets and my only real source for wheels were places like wheel max, wheelsnext, and speedandstyle. If you said what you said BEFORE he bought them then that would be different. Some things you learn on your own, other things you can take other people's word, but in either case, making a guy feel like **** for getting something he likes isn't cool.
