Sirius/XM keeps going back to station 1?

The last couple of days my Sirius/XM keeps setting itself back on the preview station (1) no matter what station I leave it on when I turn the car off. I've checked my subscription and have 10 months left so that isn't it, and if I push the preset it has no problem going back to the appropriate station. Nothing else in the car is resetting, clock is fine as well.

If I turn the car off for a short period of time (like running into a store) it doesn't happen. If its off overnight it happens every time...

Any thoughts on this one? I can't take it into the shop for at least a week do to a hectic work week. I want to make sure I don't get stuck somewhere with a dead battery or dead remote battery (doesn't seem like either, but I'm not sure).

Since you are under warranty ask the dealer to come and pick up your vehicle and return it after they find the problem

My 2009 coupe has been doing this as well the last few weeks, My guess it is doing this because everyone has been getting a free trial recently and channel 1 is the information channel, presumably to get you to sign up.

I've been getting it a lot too. It is not your car. It is Sirius/XM. They might just suck.

Telcoman, I hadn't even thought about them coming to pick up the car. Never tried that before. From others experiences (BHB 91 + cjs37xs) it may not be worth taking it in.

Sirius / XM may indeed just suck.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's definitely XM. They are completely incompetent. They screwed me around for 45 days. I had to babysit them every 3 days and beg to get my situation fixed. I even filed a complaint wit the credit card company.

Glad you posted this. I have had the same problem. If I go down a street with a tree hanging over it the least little bit mine will cut of and go to chanel 1. I just thought it was me. Hubby's truck with Sirius doesn't do it. I just switch to Music Box if I'm on a tree lined street.

Mine doesn't do that but when first started it comes on to the channel I was listening to the day before and then after a few seconds goes to ipod. Is that normal?

Last night, my radio would only play channel 1. Even when I changed stations it would snap back to channel 1 within a couple seconds. When I got back in the car this morning it was fine again, and still okay when I drove home from work. Isolated incident, I hope.
