Hi, all -- been reading here since I got my 2007 M35x about 3 wks ago. Thanks to you, we ordered the Sirius OEM kit from everythinginfiniti.com. My husband (are girls allowed here? LOL) started the install yesterday, and I requested that he put the antenna on the package shelf, as some of you have suggested. I'd prefer that to having it visible on the outside. We can't figure out how to get the antenna to the package shelf without taking out the backseat. Seems like it was much simpler than that, judging by your posts.

Any advice?

Thanks!-- Kelley

Package shelf? It may be a dumb question, but what is this?

If you want a clean install to the rear, you need to run it through one of the rubber mounts, located under the rear panal, where th subwoofer is located.

Only problem is you do have to remove the rear seat.

The good thing is that is very easy to do.

1) place you hand under the front end of the rear seats. The section directly belove you knees would be if sitting down.

2) the is plastic clip/lever, just pull is forward towards the drivers seat, and the lower section of the seat comes up. th eare 2 clip, left & right side.

3) then there wil be 2 or 4 bolts exposed at the lower section of the rear seat backs. Remove the bolts.

4) lift the rear seat back UP and FORWARD, and it come right forward.

IF YOU NEED TO...

5) the rear colum pillars felt pops right forward with 4 clips.

6) the rear panel pops up, help by 6 clips, 2 behind the head rest and 4 above.

I know it sound complicated, but it is very easy, just clips. The hardest part will be keeping the leather clean.

Most certainly welcome! We don't have many women members here, but there are some for sure.

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I believe it's the area between the backseat headrests and the rear window. I read a couple of posts on here about how people installed their satellite antenna on the package shelf.

Good info about taking out the rear seats! I'll be sure to give my husband the info. Thank you!
