My lovely wife went to the local dealer to price a Serius satelitte install in my 2004 Murano. I was blown away when they told her $600.00. I expect the dealer to be more expensive but I would prefer not buying their Christmas presents for the whole fu***** dealership.

Am I in the woods on this or is that a fair price? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am in the Phoenix area.

The factory installed stereo unit was standard for the vehicle but does indicate a Sat button which makes me think it is wired and ready.

Thanks for your responses.

I believe that the Murano standard stereo isn't set up for sat radio but the bose system is. The only problem is that they have a contract with XM Sat and not sirius. There is word that they are going to merge but I don't want to give you the wrong info. I just bought a 08 Altima that isn't set up for sat radio, but I already had the equipment from my expedition which is a separate unit so Im installing that in the Altima myself. Easy install. The only problem is that the head unit doesn't have the standard antenna plug-in so you have to purchase a adapter that will work with that head unit. its only 25 dollars for two pieces. Im going to post pics of the install soon. Hope any of this helps. Look for install pics for help if you need it.
