First of all I love this forum. Very professional and you all seem to be a bunch of cool guys and gals!!

Just bought a 03 G35 coupe. I called sirius to get activated but they needed a 12 digit# to get activated. Needles to say the rep was no help. How do I go about getting this #? When I push the SAT button all I get is "NO SAT". Did the dealer lie to me when he said all I needed to do was call sirius to get activation. The manual was not in the car when purchased so I have no refrences to check.

I'm going to assume its the same process as XM. So that would mean going to station 1, not preset 1, but the actual station 1. If you can't even do that, then I would go back to the trunk, take out the carpeting and remove the plastic piece on the left to even see if you have a satellite receiver. If its there, your 12 digit ID number will be on the receiver.

you definitely have to buy the receiver. i did the same thing.. tried to call and get it hooked up but couldn't find anyone to help me. i have a friend that works at a high end car customization shop so went to him and he priced it for me $350

i was told the newer models are easier and most of them you don't have to buy the receiver. i was also told to call an infiniti dealership and give them a VIN and they can tell you what has to be done.

a little plug for anyone in the Rock Hill, SC / Charlotte, NC area and wants to know a good place - they have tinted my windows and ordered a few things for me.. working on making decisions on other stuff (wheels, grill) - they're good guys and i've seen lots of good work come out of the shop

I remember couple of months ago was a post about it. He called the infiniti they told me he's good to go just need to be activated. Was not. The previous owner took the receiver out from the car.
