I am going to order the Sirius radio kit for our QX and attempt an install. Anyone have any input on this? How difficult? How long? What specific kit to use? Where to put antenna?

Thanks!!

I did the install (XM instead) on my '04 QX56. Same install as your '05. It is pretty straight forward. If you order the it from

http://www.grubbsperformance.c...=2905 orhttp://www.courtesyparts.com/k...cat=1

it will come with Infiniti's instructions. The receiver gets mounted under the driver's side dash, just above the pedals. The pre-wire is already there, so you just plug it in. The antenna lead is there as well, again, plug it in. You will mount your antenna on the roof, towards the back of the vehicle, a few inches from the roof rack on the driver's side. You have to run the antenna wire carefully down into the vehicle and connect it to the antenna lead that is already installed in your vehicle. I would say the whole project is probably about 2 hours at the most.
