What I have now is the Sirius radio going from the docking station into a FM radio without a AUX input using station (88.1). My question is it possible to eliminate the FM radio altogether and go from the docking station ( output ) into a Graphic Equalizer?? The radio is in my school bus. The reasoning behind this, the radio is located in the worst possible spot and it is a hassle going into the radio program to adjust the fader, bass and the radio also has issues with memory loss. The plan is to leave the radio where it is and locate the Graphic Equalizer so that I have easy access and control of the sound.

The short answer: No, unless your radio supports it.

Unless your radio(head unit, tuner, whatever you want to call it) supports auxiliary input devices, you are stuck with the FM modulator or cassette adapters. Now, Im not sure exactly what you mean with this graphic equalizer business. I suppose you could have a pre-amp equalizer and then pipe that to your head unit, but I haven't seen such equipment for sale anywhere.

Also, a school bus?

Try to give us more information about exactly what you have now, and what you want it to do:)

Thanks for your input. Right now I have a Clarion DB 255 radio, which does not have a auxiliary input port,so I am using a FM direct adapter.I have not used the FM radio or the CD player for years and the radio is located in the worst possible place. I have a Pioneer Equalizer with Echo,7 bands and a fader. What I am trying to do if this is possible is to go from the audio out port on the Sirius docking station, and use the equalizer as a amplifier.

I use the FM tuner for my SAT setup and it has worked nicely. Of course my system is that of a winter beater truck so the bar is set pretty low. Then again it doesn't get any static at all and the signal is very strong which is a nice surprise for being a cheap setup in general. In May I get a newer Frontier and I'll work on installing the SAT system better.
