eggyacid is correct on this. It's not a simple plug and play. Within the 2006 model year, the antenna's changed. You can go to an Infiniti dealership and ask to see thier accessories page for the satellite antennas. There will be different options for XM and for Sirius based on the vin numbers of the cars.
The antenna's will change by model years. Some have splitters, and some don't. Come have the same connectors, and some don't. You really won't know until to open it up.
All satellite antenna's have a built in satellite receiver, and a terrestrial antenna receiver. The XM antenna's split these signals going into the receiver. Siruis has both signals on one band.
I was able to make changes to the connectors to make it work, but the signal strength is horrible. Anything as small as a light post would make it cut out. Eggy wasn't even able to get a signal, since his antenna wouldn't split.
Also the receiver mounts in the trunk are different. The Sirius receiver is smaller, so it will fit in the XM mount, you'll just need longer bolts. But the XM receiver will not fit in the Sirius mount since it's smaller than the XM tuner. You could find a different place to mount it, but that defeats the purpose of plug and play, becasue of the amount of work required to reroute all of the cables.
So to do this properly you'll need to trade receivers, your antenna, and your mounts.
Which requires you to remove the trunk liner, the rear seats, the rear woofer panal, and the rear section of the head liner.
Or you can just add the bext of XM or Sirius for $4.00 more.
