I am new to the forums and just purchased a 2004 G35 Sedan. I had a Sirius Sportster 5 radio in my J30 and it was mounted to my window. I was going to put in in the G35 when I saw the "Sat" button on the factory Bose radio. I learned that it the car does not have a sirius tuner in it, but it is pre-wired for it. I also learned from searching the forums that I can buy a tuner from Infiniti and it needs to be plugged into to this wide white plug in the trunk under the spare tire next to the amplifier. I found the factory tuner from Grubbs with the Antenna for about $250. It can also be found here for $290:

However, I also found a package at TSS that includes a Sirius SCC1 tuner (this is a more generic model for all vehicles) and an isimple ipod media kit for $199 after a $30 rebate. This aftermarket option says it is compatible with my 2004 G35 as well as other Inifinti and Nissan models:

Here is my dilemma: Do I pay more and just get the factory option even though it comes with less and is approx. $50 more or do I get the newer SCC1 tuner for less and get the media/ipod gateway with it but it may be less compatible? Does anyone have the Sirius SCC1 tuner in their Infiniti and if so how does work? Will the factory unit work better and display artist, song, and other information while the SCC1 will not?
Thanks for any help you guys may be able to provide.
