i was wondering if anyone had ideas on what to do for a single wiper blade conversion no im not talking about popping one off and putting t back on half way up ur windshield i want a single wiper that is all the way down when not in use then has a good sweep when in use. The reason i want to do this u ask because i have to the roll cage makes in inpossible to put the motor and linkage back in so i need something where the motor is mounted in the middle more or less hidden if at all possible and like i said a single wiper heres some pics for reference.

u can see the right strut tower goe right through the stock motor mount

You should just be able to shorten the linkage and move the whole motor over towards the center. Other than that I guess you would have to move the pivot point on the center wiper inward. I'm not sure if that would put to much stress on other parts though.

two words... junk yard. i hear you on the benz wiper, very clean. Im sure you can pick one up pretty cheep at a wrecking yard. Its not really fair to say that a benz wiper will break though. I know they are not know for their reliability, but a wiper motor going out is not very common.

another thing you may want to consider is, do you really need wipers? what kind of racing will you be doing? judging on the cage design it cant be drifting(unless you don't plan on competing in formula d). judging on the huge amount of negative camber its not drag. auto x?

many organized racing events don't even compete in the rain, so it may not even be something you have to worry about.

well the negative camber is just cause the car is rolling around the alignment is not set i just through the coilovers on to get back to a rolling chassis to get it out of the shop. but as far as benz wiper blades there known for te wiper arms stripping out and the motors going so idk about a junkyard but i want that dual motion that they have. im building the car mostly to be an allround just built car they have local upp mountain races that im goin to do this summer and id like to time attack it the cage itself is scca legal however i dont know if the strut towers will have anything to do with it. so basically i just want to build a "race car" its getting a sard stack and tilton racing triple pedal setup and what not and that sr is for sale because i have a vh41 going in with two gt30s so before i get working on that i want all the fab work done including this wiper setup

Have you ever tried rain-x? 90 percent of the time I dont need wipers. Only when you are stopped or have a light mist do you need them. Its a good temporary fix, and its cheap.

yea iv tried rain x it works alright but thats not really the point id like to come up with a way to get a wiper on there iv got a couple ideas using an altima motor cause the linkage is built in and im a nissan tech so i can get it new for pretty cheap but if it turns out to be to much of a bi&*h then i will just go the rain x route but like i said id like to have a pretty trick little setup but if its goin to be more of a pain then its worth ill have just weld the holes up and shave the cowl
