Hey guys I was wondering what are you thoughts on Single & Dual tip exhausts? I have read/heard that single tips are better in the sense that you get more power out of if? Is this true? Is there anybody out there with a single tip on their coupe? Let me know your thoughts on this. Im new to this so Im learning new things as I go. :bigthumb:

To be honest with you I have no idea in regards to the performance part of your question, but in my opinion I strongly feel that the coupes looks much better with a dual tip setup. All cars actually lol.

I'm not an expert but I don't believe there is any performance benefit of having dual tip exhausts over single tip. It's still gonna be connected to the same muffler. So if there is a difference it is only gonna be for cosmetic appeal and maybe with the sound.

I think you aren't very specific in the post but here you go...
There are many different setups for our coupes, most being dual tips.
Some examples of different setups could be:

1) headers->cat->pipe->single muffler->dual tips(STOCK SETUP)
2) headers->cat->pipe->single muffler->single tip (could be done, but you would have to plug one of the outlets of the stock muffler. This would not be a suggested route because it could cause too much back-pressure for the stock exhaust, and you would have a large gap in the stock bumper where the second tip would go)
3) headers->cat->pipe->y-pipe->dual mufflers->dual tips (LSD, Greddy, and Magnaflow use this setup)

...of course you can mess around with those setups and have 3,4,8 tips, your choice.

DUAL tips are preferred by most, QUAD tips have been done and looks pretty sweet, but a SINGLE tip would look ODD.
As for SOUND, dual muffler setups tend to be quieter since the noise is being reduced twice as much. For example, Greddy comes with dual mufflers to dual tips.....it would be louder if it were just ONE Greddy muffler.
There have also been people on here who have ran straight pipes to dual tips, however this is also not advised

Hope this helped

I think singles look nice when done right. You should try to customize your bumper for it and be the first.
