i hope you are planning to weld it at the y, or have it professionally done.Coupes4Life wrote:Well I have Greddy Ti-C exhaust on my 2.5 and I was thinking about taking one of the pipes off and welding it shut to make it a single exhaust because I heard its better to have single than duel on a 4cyl what do u guys think?
8 pounds lighter? and it would sound like a civic hatchback with a fart can.Loop wrote:I wouldn't expect much difference in power gains. You can expect it being lighter and louder.
hahaha possibly this.dldjros69 wrote:

With the V's you have two exhaust sources so they use a downstream H junction or keep the pipes completely separate to minimize turbulence near the downpipes. Its purely for looks on the I4. 1. Dual exhaust is usually associated with sports cars and higher-end models in the consumer's mind. 2. The symmetry is aesthetically pleasing.dldjros69 wrote:why did they make our cars and most cars with dual exhaust.
First off its not a dual exhaust. there is only one pipe from the cat. its a single-in, dual-out and like mrodrig2 said its for looks. There wouldnt be a gain from doing this.Coupes4Life wrote:Well I have Greddy Ti-C exhaust on my 2.5 and I was thinking about taking one of the pipes off and welding it shut to make it a single exhaust because I heard its better to have single than duel on a 4cyl what do u guys think?
i firmly believe that if the exhaust tip is shown in any way shape or form it NEEDS to be dual or it looks like s*** no matter what car.mrodrig2 wrote:2. The symmetry is aesthetically pleasing.
