I have a 38DGES Downdraught with a Canon intake manifold for my L20B......but found a great deal on a single Dellorto 40mm / 36 chokes on a Lynx cross flow manifold. Any big differences between these two set ups?

I'd go with the dual sidedrafts.

On a side note, I've been searching for a manifold and dual side drafts for my L16.....you know anywhere to score a setup for a reasonable price? Doesn't have to be anything fancy.

Hi. This Sunday there is a japanese car swap meet in Garden Grove, I will be there. There might be some good stuff in there. I will get some names for you. If you have a friend living in the area of Garden Grove CA, send him there. I got my Lynx/Dellorto set up in E bay. The Weber 38 DGES and Cannon Manifold I got from friends. The 38/Cannon will go in my Datsun 610 about to hit the streets ( after body work and 5 speed gear box swap ). The Sidedraught will go into my Datsun 710. I assume a single sidedraught 40mm would be better than a 38 downdraught, more efficient intake ( specially under a Lynx cross flow manifold ), so I am going to try in the same car, after a while of driving on the 38 downdraught, the single 40 Dellorto. Later on I might got for the dual sidedraughts, but as far as theory goes, a single sidedraught for a mild street engine is fine...untill I come across a nice afordable set of DCOEs or Dellortos.
