So my ka24e is running rich, and heres what ive done to try and fix it. Spark plugs, distributor, wires, fuel filter, front 02 sensor, all replaced last year. About 6 months ago, car threw leaky injector code, all four injectors were bad so they were all replaced (brand new), along with the o-rings. I dont smell any gas leaking from the engine bay, but from the exhaust i can really smell it, and my rear bumber is black. I've bought another set of o rings just to be sure my injectors are installed properly. Im guessing to change my Fuel pressure regulator next? thats an expensive part so how would i know if its bad or not. Or could it be my egr. Im completely lost. Also plan on switching to auto ecu. City driving with very few highway gets me less than 150 miles to the tank.

What should i do, this single cam is really pissing me off.

I would suspect leaking lower o-rings, or maybe very sluggish O2 sensors. When you replace the injector o-rings, make sure to put a light coat of motor oil on them and their mating surface in the rail to ensure they don't get pinched.

Would i have to take out the fuel rail assembly and put the injectors whiles its out of the car, or can i just put them in while the fuel rail is still conencted to all the vacuums. Im afraid if i take out the fuel rail assembly, my vacuum lines are gonan rip.

Also for depressurizing the system, the steps in order is.....Remove fuel cap, remove fuel pump fuse, let car start up and then stall, then crank 3 ,4 times. is that correct?

thank you

since u replaced the o2 sensor and plugs before ur injectors went bad, i would recheck the o2 sensor/plugs for foulness. could be ur thermostat is causing ur car to run in open loop mode hence the richness without smelling gasoline. or it could be lower injector o-rings, but i doubt it.
