Hey there, I entered a post asking if anybody could help me wire an Apexi RSM. Since nobody seems to know how to do it, does anybody know which which wires on the ecu for a 92 240sx coupe with HUD are the ones for IG Power, Speed, RPM, and a ground. That's all I need. Thanks guys.

Download the available FSMs and get the info yourself.

I've actually d/led the FSM's, every kind I could find. It's really difficult for me to decipher some of the pieces.

I've finally found a couple wiring diagrams on the FSM, EF/EC section, but I still can't find colors for things like the knock sensor. Also, some have multiple wires going to the ecu unit, and I'm not smart enough to figure out which ones.

I am in the same boat as you drifts14x.

Is anyone nice/bored enough to walk through (page #, and where to look) for at least one of the wires, so we can understand better?

Thanks a lot.

Thank you broke, I too have the FSM's, and S3, I have tried to find the info for myself, but I'd rather not destroy my wiring harness and my car trying to find this stuff out. Apexi did help me out with finding the power, rpm, and ground, but i still don't know where the speed wire is. Brokeas240sx, check out the Apexi site for the US Update on the S-AFC, you can use the same wires for the RSM, i just don't know where the speed wire is now, or else I'd be done with this install.

I found the US-UPDATE file on Apex'i. Are you using the N-1 diagram? I actually need some of those wires for my SAFC II install.

You don't happen to know or want to look at what wire colors on the ECU correspond to RPM/Throttle/etc do you? Any colors will help me double-check and verify before my install .

As for your speedometer wire, there may be a getto-rig way to do it. I believe many people tap into the speedo wire behind the instrument cluster. Although I don't know which wire specifically, it should narrow down a lot a wires compared to the ECU. Not the ideal solution, but something as a just in case.

If I do run across what wire color the speedo is, I'll keep you posted. And if you find out, please post on this thread to help out future installers .

according to the FAQ from 240sx.org- It is the 8th wire down on the left #32 in the computer (yellow/green stripe). This also leads to your governor, so if it were me, and I needed to hook up this speed sensor, instead of splicing it, i would just cut it and run it directly to your accessory (wether it be a turbo timer or whatever). that way you get rid of your speed limiter at the same time.
